Our 1st - 4th Graders are on a journey of discovery through the life of Paul. Trapped on an island they think is deserted, two castaways, Aaron and Jamie, face hunger, weather, something they think is a large bird, and the sound of something they can't even see. Will they survive? Will they be rescued? Will they ever learn to get along? Find out as we learn some valuable lessons from the life of Paul.

The children will learn that we should always be willing to give second chances. --Elevate Curriculum

Community Service -- "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'" Matthew 25:40

The teen ministry supports our church vision of strengthening our community through our attitude and actions. Last year, we worked with Housing Partnerships to do some general repairs on homes of needy families in our town. We volunteered to help with the Patriot Half-Ironman Triathlon. Through our Ignite! care groups, teens have a voice in how we fulfill Jesus' Great Commission- "Go, and make disciples of all nations". In 2008, we volunteered at the 5th Annual Williamsburg Arthritis Walk in May. We will be working the Triathlon again in September, and we continue to explore ways to reach our community for Christ.

Education -- "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16,17

Our Education plan equips young people with a biblical worldview by an understanding of what they believe, why they believe it, and how those beliefs should impact their everyday decisions. For this summer, we have three classes during the 9:45 Bible Study hour- one for 7th and 8th graders, and separate classes for high school girls and boys.

Fellowship -- "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another..." Hebrews 10:25

IGNITE! is our weekly fellowship, which meets at the church each Wednesday night at 7pm. At the heart of Ignite! is our care group ministry designed just for teens. Care groups promote strong team-building, foster open communication, and peer encouragement. Care Groups allow our Senior High students to exercise their leadership skills, and our adult leaders to concentrate their ministry efforts on 6-8 teens at one time. IGNITE! also includes praise & worship, games and food!
